The Seventeenth of August

Hạ Lam is a clerk at the Civil Records Archive. She has a younger brother who works as a cook, an apartment in the Hoài Thủy district, and a life so ordinary that no one remembers her. On the night of the seventeenth of August, she dies on Tứ Minh Bridge at 22:47. Then she opens her eyes in the office elevator at 22:09. Eight minutes before her own death. This is not a journey into the past. She is trapped inside that same night, pulled across time by three chimes that only she can hear. Every time she saves someone from death, someone else dies in a place she has never set foot in. Death does not disappear. It changes places. To learn who makes the pair of sounds tearing her out of the timeline, she must reach the year 2032. There, four Hạ Lams exist at the same time. One of them has already died, just to bring back a piece of evidence.
