Introduction

Welcome to GoG: Origin ("the App"), owned and operated by APPOTA INC PTE LTD ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue using the App.

Ownership of Content

All story content (including text, images, design, source code, and trademarks) is owned or legally licensed by APPOTA INC PTE LTD. Users are not permitted to copy, distribute, transfer, or commercially exploit any content without prior written consent. You are solely responsible for the content you import. By importing any file, you represent and warrant that you own the copyright, have purchased the legal rights, or possess the lawful authorization to use, read, and process said content. GOG disclaims any and all liability for copyright infringement or intellectual property violations arising from files you import. We do not scan your local files for copyright compliance and will not be held liable by third-party rights holders.

User Rights and Responsibilities

Imported stories are read locally only and are not uploaded to our servers. Users are solely responsible for any content they import. Any unauthorized reproduction or commercial use of copyrighted content is prohibited.

User Comments and Interactions

The App allows users to post public comments on book content. By using this feature, you agree to the following:

Conduct Rules: You must not post content that is harassing, hateful, violent, sexually explicit, spam, misleading, or otherwise unlawful. You are solely responsible for the content of your comments.

Reporting Violations: Users may report any comment that violates the rules above. We will review and act on reports within a reasonable timeframe, including hiding or removing violating content.

Blocking Users: Users may block other users. Once blocked, that user's comments will no longer be visible to you.

Moderation Rights: We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to proactively review, hide, or remove any comment that violates these Terms without prior notice, and to suspend or terminate the accounts of repeat violators.

Disclaimer: We are not liable for comment content posted by other users. Reporting or blocking a user does not guarantee that all violating content will be addressed immediately.

Content Policy & Advertising Partner Compliance

While imported files are stored locally, the processing of such files interacts with our application interface, which may display third-party advertisements (including but not limited to Google AdMob). You strictly agree NOT to import, view, or process content that is:

• Illegal, child exploitation material, or non-consensual sexual content.
• Extremely violent, inciting hatred, or promoting illegal acts.
• In direct violation of Google Play Developer Policies or Google Publisher Policies.

GOG reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account, and disable AI or Cloud functionalities, if we detect that your usage jeopardizes our platform's standing with our advertising networks or app store providers.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GOG, its developers, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, or account suspensions (including third-party advertising account bans) resulting from the files you import or your violation of these Terms.

Payment and Subscription

All purchases are processed via App Store In-App Purchase. Upon successful payment, users gain access to copyrighted content for the duration of their subscription. We do not store any credit card or banking information.

Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for connection interruptions, device errors, or user-imported content. We are also not liable for damages resulting from user violations of these Terms.

Termination of Use

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Users may delete their accounts at any time.

Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be displayed within the App and take effect immediately upon publication.
